General DescriptionThis recently built 2,400 sq. ft cottage , completed in July 2005 has an outstanding open design and is very comfortably furnished and well equipped. With the elevated location, the view is spectacular. The cottage has excellent privacy and is conveniently located about 15 minutes east of Bracebridge, close to area amenities and attractions. There is no marina on this section of the Muskoka river however there are about 10 kms of navigable waterway to explore and a public launch facility nearby. Cleaning service & linens are available on request at the time of booking.
For those interested in winter rentals, this is a fully winterized cottage (oil furnace) and there is direct access to area OFSC snowmobile trails. There is downhill & cross-country skiing available at Hidden Valley in Huntsville or Sir Sam's near Haliburton, located about 45 minutes away.

Waterfront & Swimming150' of south facing frontage on the Muskoka River / Orillia Lake. There is a broad expanse of water here with deep, clean swimming from the dock area/ladder on the dock plus newly installed swim raft and dive platform. There are approximately 125 steps from the elevated cottage to the waterfront dock with a deck/landing area about midway between. It is also possible to access the waterfront by vechile by using the public right of way adjacent to the property.

My husband is quite picky (likes large open spaces and very nice decor) and he was quite happy with it. I of course was quite happy as well. The size was good for our blended family, as people could hide in different areas if they wanted to get away. :) We also liked the river location - much quieter than a lake (fewer boats). The owners appear to have set up this cottage quite nicely. Their call was appreciated. The whole thing was a class act."
