General DescriptionStunning four season, custom designed, log cottage on quiet lake near Bancroft. The 2.5 acre property has 210' of shoreline with lots of tall trees for privacy, great easterly view of this small lake (no sea dos permitted) which offers great fishing. The cottage has a wonderful screened porch and lots of decking to enjoy the outdoors. Hot tub located on lower deck (hot tub usually available May - Oct, winter bookings please inquire). In addition to four bedrooms in the main cottage there is a bunkie for additional sleeping - and a sauna as well. The basement area is fully finished and has a ping pong table, air hockey, bar area and a walk out to the lower patio. Large principal rooms, hardwood floors, comfortably furnished and finished - this property is a wonderful retreat for an extended family at any time of the year. As an added bonus, a cleaning service at the end of your stay is included in the cost of the rental.

Bedrooms & BathroomsThere are four bedrooms in the main cottage - three on the upper level one in the basement level. The master has a queen bed, an electric fireplace and a four piece (shower/tub, toilet, sink) ensuite bathroom. There is a three piece (walk in shower, toilet and sink) in the family bathroom on this level. The second bedroom has a double/single bunk combo along with another single bed, and the third bedroom has a queen bed and a set of single bunks. The main floor of the cottage has a two piece bathroom (toilet and sink). On the lower level (basement) there is a fourth bedroom with a queen bed. There is a set of bunk beds in the bunkie. The upper bunk is a single bed and the lower is a 3/4 size bed. There is electricity but no bathroom or heat in the bunkie.

Waterfront & SwimmingApprox. 210' waterfront, accessed by approximately 15 terraced steps and pathway - cottage is elevated from waterfront - terrain may not be appropriate for toddlers or seniors. Clean, deep water swimming (6'-8') from end of 20' dock , plus a deck at the shoreline with campfire. There is also a wooden ramp from the shore into the water beside the dock for easier access into the water. NOTE: an electric motor can be used on the lake but special permission is required from the owner for use of a gas engine.

Guest Comments"The cottage descriptions and images were very accurate. We loved the decks, screen porch and the swimming platform. Inside the cottage was beautiful. We had a great week as the weather was perfect. The only down side is they need some fans for the rooms upstairs for the hot evenings. It would be hard to sleep there this week. We would love to rent a cottage again next year."
