"The cottage, the surroundings, the lake and the dock were all beautiful. The cottage in particular was very spacious, beautifully built and decorated. The description and images very accurately represented the cottage. Very happy with our experience with this cottage rental."

E. Whaley 2016

"Special mention to the owners who were so quick in responding to any questions we had. That was greatly appreciated."

G. Watson 2016
"The size and layout of the cottage is great for our family. We have six boys. I love that the lake does not have motor boats. It's very peaceful. Our relatives from Holland came to visit as well. Sitting on the dock one of them said "there's not a place in Holland that's this quiet."

T. Murphy 2015

" The cottage was very nice. We enjoyed the decks - views of the lake and the kayaks. The cottage was private - surrounded by trees however on our week there the neighbours had many dogs and played country music quite loud every afternoon. The owners have done a lovely job of making their cottage a relaxing destination. The bottle of wine upon arrival was also a nice touch."

T. Schaafsma

"The cottage exceeded our expectations. We had family visitors of five from Europe with us and this cottage stay gave them and us the "Canadian good feel experience". The boats, BBQ, firepit and the dense forest lake surroundings contributed to our fantastic cottage experience. Thank you for the wine and making it a pleasant experience from start to finish."

B. Dinnert

"The cottage was very clean and had everything that we needed for a relaxing week away from home. The kids had a great time too. Our kids' ages ranged from 12 - 23 and they all enjoyed it."

T. Murphy

"We were very pleased with everything about the cottage. The waterfront was good for the older children and even the 5 year old finally ventured in with his life jacket. We found a sandy beach a short distance away which was a change for the children. The owner called us on the second day to see if all was well. The cottage was shaded by tall trees which kept it cool during a very hot spell. There were things for the teenagers to do. They particularly liked the hot tub. I liked the new deck built half way down to the water where I got a breeze and could read my book.

The lake was small and motorboat free. We had a loon family which added to our enjoyment. There was no garbage pickup, but a trip to the dump was an adventure. It also meant we did not have to worry about "packaging" the garbage in the right way for collection. No bears therefore."

P. Forbes

"The cottage descriptions and images were very accurate. We loved the decks, screen porch and the swimming platform. Inside the cottage was beautiful. We had a great week as the weather was perfect. The only down side is they need some fans for the rooms upstairs for the hot evenings. It would be hard to sleep there this week. We would love to rent a cottage again next year."

R. Howe

"Cottage was as depicted - well equipped and facilities were great. Great cedar interior. very clean. Nice bedrooms and bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen. Lake was peaceful and warm. Great toys (canoe, kayak, rowboat, paddle boat, swim raft, sauna, hot tub, fire pit)

Cottage and facilities - superb
Lake Finnegan - serene and idyllic
Family time together - priceless!"

W. McLean

"The cottage was gorgeous! The lake was beautiful - but the cottage itself was stunning - lots of space. Thanks for all the personal help with booking - it made things so easy!"
