General DescriptionThis lovely cottage is located on Negeek Lake, approximately 45 minutes north of Bancroft and about 15 minutes south of Barry's Bay. Negeek Lake is connected to the Madawaska River, Lake Kaminiskeg and Barry's Bay with 90 km of navigable waterways.
The cottage is situated on a very level, child-friendly lot with plenty of lawn and tree cover separating the cottage from the excellent sandy waterfront and swimming area. The cottage has been extensively renovated - with a new bathroom and kitchen - including new cherrywood cabinets, and new laminate flooring in the living/dining areas. There is also an electric fireplace in the living area. The main living areas and the bathroom are located on the first floor of the cottage with the 2 spacious bedrooms located on the upper level. The cottage is well maintained, very clean and is looked after by neighbouring relatives. (Note - shared driveway with neighbours who also have a dog).

Bedrooms & BathroomsThere are two very large bedrooms on the upper level of the cottage. Each has one Queen size bed as well as two Single beds. The newly renovated 4 piece bathroom (tub/shower, toilet & sink) is located on the main floor.

AmenitiesThe cottage is comfortably furnished and finished. The main floor features an open kitchen/living/dining area with laminate wood floors, a large dining table and a great view of the water. There is also a small entry/mud room at the rear of the cottage, often used as the 'wet-dog' room. A dog kennel is provided here. The cottage is otherwise well equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, telephone, TV (32" flat panel), DVD and VCR and electric fireplace. Outside there are patio and beach chairs/picnic table, and a screened gazebo tent, lounges and a campfire pit. There is a two person/tandem kayak provided along with an inflatable row boat with oars, a five person pedal boat and 4 adult life jackets. There is a 50' dock at the lake and a marina and boat launch facility available locally.

Waterfront & SwimmingThere is approximately 100' of frontage at this cottage. The waterfront is easily accessed from the cottage by way of a lawn through mature trees. At the water's edge, you find lots of sand and a very gradually sloping access to the water, ideal for young children. At the end of the recently installed 50' dock, the water depth is approximately 3 feet deep, depending on lake levels/time of year. The lake levels do recede as the summer progresses.
