General DescriptionThis delightful cottage is located about 5 minutes from the village of Buckhorn on Lower Buckhorn Lake/Deer Bay. Despite it's relatively small 800 sq ft size, the spacious open concept design and extensive windows leading to a magnificent view give it a spacious feel. The kitchen/living/dining areas have vaulted pine ceilings and are modern and up-to-date with comfortable furnishings. Outside, due to the orientation of the cottage on the lot and the hedge cover along one lot line, there is a good degree of privacy. The cottage is located directly on the shoreline and features a spacious deck with excellent quality outdoor furniture. You'll also find the fishing to be very good right off the dock.

Waterfront & SwimmingThe cottage sits on 80' of lake frontage. About half of this is taken up with the cottage and deck which are located immediately at the shoreline. The remainder offers a small lawn area. Waterfront is very weedy and swimming is limited. The water depth at the end of the 6'x20' dock is about 6' deep.

Guest Comments"It was a beautiful cottage with a beautiful waterfront view. Large deck overlooking the boats, great island view, birds and so on was amazing. Overall, it was a great cottage. Next year we'd like somewhere with a long beach. We were able to walk the roads around this cottage, but prefer to walk on beaches such as those on the Great Lakes. The Cottage Country Travel Services were excellent. Certainly the best and most professional cottage booking I've done."

"When we arrived at the cottage it looked exactly like the pictures and the rest of the cottage was even more than what we expected. The cottage is absolutely beautiful! I was amazed by how clean the cottage was, including the bathroom, it was spotless, which was wonderful. It was very cozy, warm and inviting. What more could you want when you have your own beach, a paddle boat, a dock, a hammock and a beautiful patio, it is a dream cottage.
We are so happy with the choice we made with this cottage and we would surely come back again. We are hoping to do so next year given that it is available. We were lucky to find it and we want tthe same experience again.
