General DescriptionLocated about 20 minutes north of Haliburton, this cottage sits on a mature, well-treed lot overlooking Burdock Lake. The private, elevated, west facing setting from the deck is very nice. The cottage has two bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower, sink and an environmentally friendly composting toilet. The cottage is very clean and comfortably furnished. Access to the waterfront by way of the uneven path (sometimes steep) and steps will be manageable for most but not for young children or the elderly. Burdock Lake is motor restricted to maximum 9.9 hp motors.

Bedrooms & BathroomsTwo bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second, larger bedroom has a single bed as well as a set of bunk beds (lower double, upper single). The bathroom, currently being upgraded with the addition of a new shower, also has a sink and an environmentally friendly composting toilet. There is also an outhouse on the property.

AmenitiesThe cottage is well equipped with telephone, fridge, stove, microwave, 20" TV with DVD and VCR. There is a woodstove/fireplace in the living area, large windows and doorway facing the deck. Deck furniture, hammock, small propane BBQ, picnic table, campfire pit, dock and paddleboat & 2 kayaks. Firewood is not provided by the owner of this cottage, and must be provided by the renter.

Waterfront & SwimmingThe cottage is elevated from the waterfront with access between by way of path and steps. The pine needle covered path, uneven in places due to slightly exposed tree roots is best suited to those stable on their feet (not for toddlers or the elderly) leads to a set of approximately 50 steps that reach the 25' long dock. Swimming primarily deep with limited walk-in access before there is a sharp drop-off. The swimming is clean and weed-free.
