Approximately 5 min. drive to town of Haliburton. Lake Kashagawigamog is a large lake and part of a three lake chain (access to Canning & Soyers Lakes).

Phone (there is cell service in the area and renters have access to phone at the owners of rental cottage who are located next door for emergencies). Wireless high speed internet access. Waterfront & Swimming
Approximately 200' of waterfront, deck/dock at shore with some shallow entry into the water beside the dock, accessed by a set of 3 steps into the water - over sandy bottom, fairly gradual slope to deeper water. Deck at shore with floating dock extension.

"The cottage surpassed the descriptions and images. We loved the layout of the cottage and warm wood flooring/ wall paneling created a very relaxing atmosphere. The large kitchen with lots of drawers/cabinets and two bathrooms were fantastic and the solarium/dining room was a great addition to the home allowing family to gather to eat/play board games etc. Obviously, the location of the cottage was the most important feature for us...we love lake Kashagawigamog and used to visit Birch Point Lodge for many years as a family and have wonderful memories of this lake and of Haliburton...I did not want to leave the cottage to go home to Collingwood and I have travelled all over the world and never felt like I did not want to leave!!!"

"The cottage was bigger than we expected, that was quite a nice bonus. We LOVED the market that was in town "only on Tuesdays". This may be beneficial for future renters to know about, as it is only on the Tuesday and we were not aware of that and would have done more shopping than we did. This cottage was extremely clean when we arrived "inside and out" and all of the kitchen wear is top notch and made our whole dining experience that much better. The cottage owner lives next door and introduced herself on our first day. They were a very nice family and respected that this is our ONE big family trip a year and they truly respected our privacy.

Complete the Cottage Request Form
Complete the "Cottage Request Form". If you have any questions, we can be reached by email [mail(at)cottagerental(dot)com] or by telepone at 905.862.0252 or at 1.877.862.0254 (Toll-Free). One of our staff will be happy to answer any questions that you have, verify cottage availability, rate, etc. At this time we will create/update a file for you with the information needed to respond to your booking request.
Return the Booking Application Form
Once we have put the cottage on "Hold", we will email you our Booking Application Form for completion and return to our office by fax or email within 2 days. A payment of 30% of the cost of the cottage plus our $90.00 + HST agency service fee (plus the cost of Trip Cancellation Insurance, if purchased) will be charged to the credit card provided with the Booking Form. A post-dated cheque for the balance payment of 70%, (plus any optional charges such as Accidental Damage Waiver, Cleaning Service, Linens Service) dated 6 weeks prior to occupancy, is forwarded to our office by mail within 5 business days. The Travel Package will be forwarded to you within 15 days of our having processed your booking.
Receive Booking Confirmation and Rental Package
After receipt and processing by our office, a Booking Confirmation and Travel Package are mailed to the Booking Applicant. Please note that, no booking is considered 'confirmed' until a written Booking Confirmation has been produced by our office. In addition to the Booking Confirmation, the Travel Package will include a copy of the Cottage/General page from our website listing the cottage inventory, bedsizes, etc., a map to the cottage and a set of Cottage Instructions/Rules.
Receive Cottage Access Information
Approximately one week prior to the start date of your holiday, we will contact you with instructions on accessing the cottage. Generally, this will be via a Lock Box at the cottage; however, there may be other arrangements necessary depending on the cottage..
