Finding that perfect vacation rental cottage for your family is a challenging task....
At Cottage Country Travel Services we've attempted to make the task
of finding your perfect cottage rental just a bit easier... or according to some of our clients - a lot easier.
With over seventeen years of experience in meeting the
vacationing public's expectations for private, rental cottage
accommodation, we think our agency services take much of the hassle and
uncertainty out of renting a private cottage.
Our recently updated website takes full advantage of today's
technology, providing you with the opportunity to find suitable
cottage accommodation from amongst our extensive inventory of
Ontario rental cottages. We've tried to make the site easy to
navigate and have endeavoured to provide complete and detailed information on our
rental cottages. You'll also see that we have extensive photo albums
of each cottage showing the property inside and out.
Our new 'Search' page allows you the opportunity to identify
which of our cottage rentals are best suited to your needs using the
criteria most often requested by our many clients. From your
party size, vacation dates, booking durations, geographic
locations and price ranges to a list of cottage amenities the
cottage list can be narrowed as much or as little as you want.
Our cottage descriptions, photos and availability are updated
daily when necessary - the information you are seeing on each
cottage webpage is as current as we can make it.
If you have any questions about our rental cottages that are not answered on the
cottage webpages or in the photo album, we would be happy to answer them. Our personal knowledge of our inventory is excellent, having visited each of our
cottage rentals personally.
When are the cottages available?
Depending on the cottage owner's use,
most of our properties have availability between early June and
late September for a minimum booking duration of one week,
however some cottages book on a minimum 2 week or month-long
basis. Most of our rentals run from Saturday to Saturday and
check in is usually 2:00 PM and check out is usually 11:00 am.
When do I have to book?
For prime summer weeks, the earlier you
start the process the better, however we do not begin booking
for the summer season prior to January of the same year.
Previous year's customers are offered first option to rebook the
cottage they rented last year and we try to deal with them as
soon as a cottage owner has identified when they are renting. We
will post cottage availability to the cottage webpage as soon as
it has been formalized with the cottage owner, generally
beginning in January each year.
Availability for all of our cottages is
initially updated as we receive it from our cottage owners and
is then updated daily, as we process bookings. If there are no
available dates showing for a particular cottage of interest,
please return to our website to check for updates.
How do I 'see' the cottages?
One of our staff has personally visited
each and every cottage, taken a catalogue of digital photos and
ensured that the cottage meets our standards and expectations.
We have an extensive photo album that shows each of our cottages
outside and inside in order that you are able to make an
informed decision on the suitability of a cottage relative to
your vacation accommodation needs. We are very proud of the
quality of the vacation accommodation we represent and while the
range may vary from the modest to the very luxurious, our
standards of cleanliness, state of repair, etc., are the same
throughout. And if a cottage does not meet those standards, we
will not add it to our inventory.
What if our plans change after we
book?
As a registered travel agency, we offer
Holiday Cancellation Insurance through RBC Insurance. If you
have to cancel for one of their risks insured (and you have
purchased the insurance at the time of the booking), a full
refund is arranged. If you have to cancel for other reasons, or
you have not purchased cancellation insurance, our standard
cancellation policy is in effect. Please review our Booking
Terms and Conditions when you book.
How do we pay if we decide we want to
book a cottage?
Payment is by cheque or money order
only. There is a 30% deposit due at the time of booking, and the
balance is due forty-five days prior to occupancy. If you are
booking from overseas, we can arrange an inter bank transfer if
you prefer.
What's included in the price?
Rental rates vary from cottage to
cottage, season to season and depend on the duration of the
booking. Cottage weekly summer rates are noted on the webpage
for each cottage. The total cost of a booking is the rate posted
on the cottage webpage plus our per booking agency
service charge of $90.00 + HST. Additional, optional costs
such as
Cancellation Insurance, cleaning service or linen service are
not included.
All rates are quoted in Canadian dollars. Payment is due only if
and when you book a cottage.
We've put a lot of thought into our inquiry and booking process - trying to make it as helpful and comprehensive as possible so you can find just the perfect cottage for your family
