General DescriptionThis modern 5 bedroom/2 bathroom vacation home is located approximately 20 minutes north of Minden in the Haliburton Highlands. The cottage is spacious, very comfortably furnished and is situated in a private setting with southwesterly exposure. (sun in late morning and afternoon at waterfront). The cottage has living space on two levels with a main living room with walk-out to the deck, a second living room/sun room off the kitchen dining area as well as a lower level rec room. Kushog Lake is part of a 2 lake system that includes Kushog and Lake St. Nora and provide 12+ kilometers of excellent boating opportunities. Cleaning service is available - renter must arrange directly with local contact - information provided.

Bedrooms & BathroomsThere are 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on two levels in this cottage (maximum 8 persons). On the main floor there is a master with a queen bed, a second bedroom with a queen bed, and the third has 2 single beds. On the lower level, one bedroom has a set of single bunks as well as a single bed and other bedroom has a queen bed with a single bed. There is a bathroom on each floor with a main, 4 piece bath on the upper/main level and a 3 piece bath w/shower on the lower level. Cleaning service may be available - renter must contact cleaner directly (see Cottage Instructions).

AmenitiesThis is a very well equipped and very comfortable cottage. Telephone, wi-fi high speed internet access, satellite TV with PVR, DVD, VCR, 2 fireplaces (one fieldstone). The kitchen is very well equipped with fridge, stove, microwave and there are laundry facilities too. Recreational equipment includes a 14' aluminum boat with oars, a canoe/paddles, paddleboat, 2 kayaks (one up to 150 lbs) and windsurfer (used as kayak, stand up paddleboard) and single person sailboat ('Invitation"), swim raft. Note - water trampoline shown in photos is not available). Lots of dock and deck space at the cottage and the waterfront.

Waterfront & SwimmingThere is a modest, terraced slope to the waterfront from the slightly elevated cottage. From a level lawn area you can access the water on a sandy bottom with a gradual slope. Depending on water levels there may be some exposed sand beach area. There is also a large dock/deck area, now with a floating dock extension from which there is deep water access. Recently, there has been some waterfront landscaping with large stone steps into the shallow water to the right of the main dock area as well as at the dock area itself.

Guest Comments"The descriptions and photos do a a good job of describing the property. The cottage is very well equipped inside and outside. the kitchen is very nicely set up with the the dishes and cooking utensils we needed. There are lots of games and things for the children to amuse themselves with including the water trampoline. We had a great time and would certainly be interested in renting again. We really appreciate the thoughtfulness of the owners. It really helps set up the vacation when you are met at the cottage by such a helpful and friendly owner."
