Waterfront & Swimming
Approximately 160′ frontage. This cottage is elevated from the dock and swimming area by approximately 60 steps. There is an excellent sandy bottom, gradually sloping swimming area for children and non-swimmers along with deep water from the end of the dock. Access to the wade-in swimming is by way of 8 wooden steps. 12′ aluminum boat/oars, canoe/paddles, paddleboat and one-person kayak.

“We loved the large living / dining room—especially the large dining table. We also really liked the very well-equipped kitchen—two fridge/freezers, two ovens, an induction stove, along with every desired appliance or utensil—we were impressed. This “cottage” truly provides all the comforts of home, and in a beautiful setting in the woods, overlooking the lake.
The stairs down to the water were quite attractive and well-designed, with the multiple landings. We appreciated access to the fishing equipment, which allowed our grandchildren to have their first experience fishing. They loved it! We really appreciated overall cleanliness of the cottage and all its furnishings. Access to TV, internet (streaming) and lots of space and comfortable furniture in the house made it easy to relax and enjoy the times when the weather did not support being outside and on/in the water. We appreciated the option to purchase cleaning services, rather than having responsibility to clean. Easy access to a good grocery store and other shopping in Apsley made it easy to get anything we needed.”

“The cottage was very roomy and the perfect layout for two small families to come together. There is space for both to come together for meals and play but privacy for sleeping as there are bedrooms on both ends of the cottage. The sandy beach was perfect for kids. We would be very happy to rent this cottage again.”

“This is a lovely spacious centre room, beautiful cedar master bedroom ensuite bathroom with lovely skylight, 3 separate balcony/decks for two of the bedrooms and the living room, very glad about multiple bathrooms, extremely well-equipped kitchen for people who love to cook; the cottage was very well and thoroughly labelled throughout (i.e. plastic bag containing “blankets for bunk bed” etc), nice piano (in tune!), tempting library appealing to three generations of readers, ditto vhs collection, very nice stereo system. finally, we really appreciated the split barn doors leading into the central space in light of our delightful old dog (to keep him out of the tempting kitchen and out of the bedrooms. the cottage is very well set up for civilised dog owners. – a beautiful, tranquil cottage for a family get-together including an aged well-behaved pet.”
