'The Auburn' - This recently built executive vacation home is located in an exclusive, 12-cottage development on beautiful South Lake and features an open concept design, large bright rooms, wood floors, and a wall of windows affording an outstanding view over the lake. This cottage has a designer kitchen with a walk out to large 3-season Muskoka room and deck, and is beautifully furnished and finished. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms on two levels. At the cottage deck a stone pathway leads to a central campfire area. South Lake is located a short 5-minute drive from downtown Minden. End of stay cleaning and linens included in rate.

There are four bedrooms - all on the upper level. There is a king in the master with a 3-piece ensuite bathroom (shower, toilet & sink), flat screen sat. tv., overlooking the lake. The other bedrooms are a queen, and two bedrooms with a set of single beds. Note: conversion kit available to allow one of the twin rooms to be transformed into a king if required. There is a large, 3 speed ceiling fan in each of the three larger bedrooms. There is a 4-piece family bathroom on this level (tub/shower, toilet & sink); 2-piece powder room on main level.
Designer kitchen with granite counters, stainless steel appliances (fridge/freezer, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher). Kitchen fully loaded with high-end cookware & bakeware, knife set and smaller cooking appliances (i.e. crock pot, rice maker, blender etc.). Phone, high speed internet access. Waterfront & Swimming
Approximately 70' of frontage with deep water swimming in the lake. Dock is approximately 80' long which accesses 3' to 4' deep water from a 16'x16' platform with ladder to help get in and out of the water. A swim raft (shared with Cottage #12), is situated in front of both docks. Some reed growth near shore with gravel entry, soft sand bottom as you wade out.

This cottage is available to rent year round and long-term, with a minimum 9 week rental period. For longer-term rental inquiries outside the 9 week summer period, the agency must verify the rate with the property owner. End of stay cleaning and linens included.
Rates shown do not include a $90.00 per booking Service Charge or optional charges such as Cleaning & Linen Services (if available), Cancellation Insurance, Security/Damage Waiver, etc.

Complete the Cottage Request Form
Complete the "Cottage Request Form". If you have any questions, we can be reached by email [mail(at)cottagerental(dot)com] or by telepone at 905.862.0252 or at 1.877.862.0254 (Toll-Free). One of our staff will be happy to answer any questions that you have, verify cottage availability, rate, etc. At this time we will create/update a file for you with the information needed to respond to your booking request.
Return the Booking Application Form
Once we have put the cottage on "Hold", we will email you our Booking Application Form for completion and return to our office by fax or email within 2 days. A payment of 30% of the cost of the cottage plus our $90.00 + HST agency service fee (plus the cost of Trip Cancellation Insurance, if purchased) will be charged to the credit card provided with the Booking Form. A post-dated cheque for the balance payment of 70%, (plus any optional charges such as Accidental Damage Waiver, Cleaning Service, Linens Service) dated 6 weeks prior to occupancy, is forwarded to our office by mail within 5 business days. The Travel Package will be forwarded to you within 15 days of our having processed your booking.
Receive Booking Confirmation and Rental Package
After receipt and processing by our office, a Booking Confirmation and Travel Package are mailed to the Booking Applicant. Please note that, no booking is considered 'confirmed' until a written Booking Confirmation has been produced by our office. In addition to the Booking Confirmation, the Travel Package will include a copy of the Cottage/General page from our website listing the cottage inventory, bedsizes, etc., a map to the cottage and a set of Cottage Instructions/Rules.
Receive Cottage Access Information
Approximately one week prior to the start date of your holiday, we will contact you with instructions on accessing the cottage. Generally, this will be via a Lock Box at the cottage; however, there may be other arrangements necessary depending on the cottage..
