This spacious and bright, wheelchair accessible cottage (please see note in bathroom description) has a mature lot, flat grassed area and a southerly exposure on Belmont Lake, approximately 10 minutes from Havelock. The open concept style and extensive facilities make this a very desirable rental. There is a new deck area at the shoreline as well as extensive docking and the deck area at the waterfront is now wheel chair accessible from the cottage on a stone pathway. The cottage has two bedrooms in the main cottage and a guest cottage with washroom. Excellent fishing. And from August 17 - 20 - The Havelock Country Jamboree ( is a great family attraction.

2 Bedrooms + guest cabin. Large master bedroom with a Queen size bed - 2nd bedroom with a double bed. There is a double sofa bed in the living room. There is also a double bed in the guest cabin. 3 Bathrooms. The main cottage has a 2 piece powder room and a 3 piece main bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. Note - the shower in the main cottage bathroom is only partially wheel chair accessible. The guest cabin has a 3 piece bathroom with shower (not wheel chair accessible).

We liked so many things, but the one thing we most appreciated was the wheelchair accessibility, for my husband who uses an electric wheelchair. The permanent, gradual sloping ramp into the cottage, the level (flush) door thresholds, the widened doorways in the cottage, the open concept of the common rooms, and the concrete pathway from one end of the property to the other - and right to the waterfront - made it very easy for him to navigate. The many windows with beautiful lake views, the clean and organized cottage, the well-equipped kitchen, were also great features. We had a wonderful extended-family vacation at this lovely cottage!"

" I loved the fact that you could see out over the lake from just about every window in the cottage. There were many different places to sit outside, all our needs were met, all the appliances worked, it was clean and one other thing that impressed me, was they left room in the cupboards for items you bring with you.Actually, the interior of the cottage was even nicer than the pictures as the owners had put in new furniture which was very comfortable. Everything else was exactly as illustrated, except for the BBQ, which was a new one. We really enjoyed our week. It was relaxing, peaceful, just what we were looking for. The owner contacted us the day we got there and mid week just to make sure everything was to our liking. Very nice man."

Excellent lighting and ventilation with many ceiling fans. We really enjoyed canoeing around the lake. Excellent accessibility (indoors and outdoors) for anyone with a physical disability. Please read through our "Booking Notes". This FAQ document will explain various issues relating to the rental process and party responsibilities and obligations.

Complete the Cottage Request Form

Complete the "Cottage Request Form". If you have any questions, we can be reached by email [mail(at)cottagerental(dot)com] or by telepone at 905.862.0252 or at 1.877.862.0254 (Toll-Free). One of our staff will be happy to answer any questions that you have, verify cottage availability, rate, etc. At this time we will create/update a file for you with the information needed to respond to your booking request.

Return the Booking Application Form

Once we have put the cottage on "Hold", we will email you our Booking Application Form for completion and return to our office by fax or email within 2 days. A payment of 30% of the cost of the cottage plus our $90.00 + HST agency service fee (plus the cost of Trip Cancellation Insurance, if purchased) will be charged to the credit card provided with the Booking Form. A post-dated cheque for the balance payment of 70%, (plus any optional charges such as Accidental Damage Waiver, Cleaning Service, Linens Service) dated 6 weeks prior to occupancy, is forwarded to our office by mail within 5 business days. The Travel Package will be forwarded to you within 15 days of our having processed your booking.

Receive Booking Confirmation and Rental Package

After receipt and processing by our office, a Booking Confirmation and Travel Package are mailed to the Booking Applicant. Please note that, no booking is considered 'confirmed' until a written Booking Confirmation has been produced by our office. In addition to the Booking Confirmation, the Travel Package will include a copy of the Cottage/General page from our website listing the cottage inventory, bedsizes, etc., a map to the cottage and a set of Cottage Instructions/Rules.

Receive Cottage Access Information

Approximately one week prior to the start date of your holiday, we will contact you with instructions on accessing the cottage. Generally, this will be via a Lock Box at the cottage; however, there may be other arrangements necessary depending on the cottage..
