The cottage has spacious rooms with a large living/TV room with a fireplace and a clear view of the lake. This room is used as a hobby area in the off season. A small den off the lower level living room has a sofa bed for extra sleeping. A large kitchen/dining area - and lots of amenities. Excellent property for an extended family.

There are 5 bedrooms - three on the main level. The master has a king and a second main floor bedroom with a queen bed and the third has 2 twin beds. There is a two piece and a four piece (tub & shower) bathrooms on the main floor. The lower level has one bedroom with a queen bed and a second room with two single beds. Den has a double sofa bed. One three piece (shower) bathroom on this level.
Very well equipped kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher. The upper living area has fireplace, satellite TV, DVD player, large windows with open view of the lake. Sliding glass doors take you out to a dining deck with patio furniture and gas BBQ. 2nd gas BBQ at waterfront for convenience and 3 picnic tables. Lower level living room also has a fire place, satellite TV, DVD player, large windows and walkout to the waterfront. Telephone, campfire pit and basketball net. Swim raft set in deeper water. In low season the rec room is set up for "Crafters Weekends" which can accommodate 12 sewing tables, two cutting tables, a design wall and 2 ironing boards.
Waterfront & Swimming
Cottage waterfront is accessed from level grassy area. Shallow entry into the water from sandy play area with some stony/gravel bottom (patio stones to access deeper water). Extended docks accommodate most boats (shown in the first picture only), approx 4' water depth at end of the dock. Some weed growth at end of dock. Excellent lake for boating on the Trent Canal System- Marinas on lake.

"For us itís the roominess on two levels and the amount of room outside also that is so appealing to our large family. The view of the lake from inside.....the privacy. There is so much for all the ages to do and this year all the "goodies" and safety items in the storage shed were new..... itís a great place to take a large family.Last year I mentioned some things that could be improved in this cottage. All of these things were seen to. More improvements were made and our stay was even more enjoyable. "The description of the cottage was very accurate, we were actually pleasantly surprised at how much space we had. There were ten of us staying in the cottage and we had more than enough space. We loved how much space there was inside and especially outside. We had wonderful weather all week and enjoyed sitting out and looking at the amazing view of the lake. We were able to have a bonfire each evening and actually caught a few fish. Please read through our "Booking Notes". This FAQ document will explain various issues relating to the rental process and party responsibilities and obligations.
Complete the Cottage Request Form
Complete the "Cottage Request Form". If you have any questions, we can be reached by email [mail(at)cottagerental(dot)com] or by telepone at 905.862.0252 or at 1.877.862.0254 (Toll-Free). One of our staff will be happy to answer any questions that you have, verify cottage availability, rate, etc. At this time we will create/update a file for you with the information needed to respond to your booking request.
Return the Booking Application Form
Once we have put the cottage on "Hold", we will email you our Booking Application Form for completion and return to our office by fax or email within 2 days. A payment of 30% of the cost of the cottage plus our $90.00 + HST agency service fee (plus the cost of Trip Cancellation Insurance, if purchased) will be charged to the credit card provided with the Booking Form. A post-dated cheque for the balance payment of 70%, (plus any optional charges such as Accidental Damage Waiver, Cleaning Service, Linens Service) dated 6 weeks prior to occupancy, is forwarded to our office by mail within 5 business days. The Travel Package will be forwarded to you within 15 days of our having processed your booking.
Receive Booking Confirmation and Rental Package
After receipt and processing by our office, a Booking Confirmation and Travel Package are mailed to the Booking Applicant. Please note that, no booking is considered 'confirmed' until a written Booking Confirmation has been produced by our office. In addition to the Booking Confirmation, the Travel Package will include a copy of the Cottage/General page from our website listing the cottage inventory, bedsizes, etc., a map to the cottage and a set of Cottage Instructions/Rules.
Receive Cottage Access Information
Approximately one week prior to the start date of your holiday, we will contact you with instructions on accessing the cottage. Generally, this will be via a Lock Box at the cottage; however, there may be other arrangements necessary depending on the cottage..
