This recently built cottage is located about 15 minutes east of the town of Haliburton on Miskwabi Lake. It has a spectacular view with a large deck & sitting area overlooking the water. The interior features a bright, open concept design with vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows facing the lake from both levels. A modern, well equipped kitchen adjoins the spacious living and dining areas.
For winter rentals, downhill skiing is located at Sir Sam's Ski Resort about 20 kms away, while snowmobile trails are accessible directly from the cottage.

3 Bedrooms. There are two, main floor bedrooms - one with a Queen size bed and one with a Double bed. The second floor bedroom is fully enclosed and has 2 single beds. There is also a double size sofa bed on the upper landing. 2 Bathrooms both on the main floor. There is a 3 piece (with shower, toilet and sink) ensuite from the master bedroom as well as 4 piece bathroom with toilet, sink, bathtub/shower.
The kitchen is well equipped with fridge/freezer, stove, microwave. Telephone, TV, VCR, DVD, CD, fireplace, propane BBQ, deck, patio chairs/outdoor furniture, deck and dock w/ladder, 2 single person kayaks.
Waterfront & Swimming
This cottage is well elevated from the waters' edge but features 500' of frontage with a Northwesterly exposure. Access to the waterfront area is by way of stairs and path which lead to a natural shoreline with a clean swimming area that has limited shallow entry area. Part of a two lake chain - Long Lake can be accessed by boat from Miskwabi.

"Our family absolutely loves this cottage. The ad on the web site is totally appropriate. What you see is what you get and then some. The View is unforgettable. The deck sits almost level with the tree tops, allowing an amazing view of the sunset. The lake is so clean. The cottage is nicely decorated. I don't have to worry about mold or mildew from old furniture. Rustic is not my style - this one is always like new when I enter it.
This is my 4th or 5th time renting this cottage and I will continue to book it, because it is the perfect one for me. I am very fussy and need to know that I'm walking into clean accommodations. Cottage Country staff and home owner were very helpful during our stay. Cottage is well equipped (could use a few blankets or throws for cold evenings). Access down to the lake would be difficult for elderly or physically impaired persons (was not a problem for our family)."

Complete the Cottage Request Form
Complete the "Cottage Request Form". If you have any questions, we can be reached by email [mail(at)cottagerental(dot)com] or by telepone at 905.862.0252 or at 1.877.862.0254 (Toll-Free). One of our staff will be happy to answer any questions that you have, verify cottage availability, rate, etc. At this time we will create/update a file for you with the information needed to respond to your booking request.
Return the Booking Application Form
Once we have put the cottage on "Hold", we will email you our Booking Application Form for completion and return to our office by fax or email within 2 days. A payment of 30% of the cost of the cottage plus our $90.00 + HST agency service fee (plus the cost of Trip Cancellation Insurance, if purchased) will be charged to the credit card provided with the Booking Form. A post-dated cheque for the balance payment of 70%, (plus any optional charges such as Accidental Damage Waiver, Cleaning Service, Linens Service) dated 6 weeks prior to occupancy, is forwarded to our office by mail within 5 business days. The Travel Package will be forwarded to you within 15 days of our having processed your booking.
Receive Booking Confirmation and Rental Package
After receipt and processing by our office, a Booking Confirmation and Travel Package are mailed to the Booking Applicant. Please note that, no booking is considered 'confirmed' until a written Booking Confirmation has been produced by our office. In addition to the Booking Confirmation, the Travel Package will include a copy of the Cottage/General page from our website listing the cottage inventory, bedsizes, etc., a map to the cottage and a set of Cottage Instructions/Rules.
Receive Cottage Access Information
Approximately one week prior to the start date of your holiday, we will contact you with instructions on accessing the cottage. Generally, this will be via a Lock Box at the cottage; however, there may be other arrangements necessary depending on the cottage..
