'Wentrats' - A truly wonderful cottage experience at this stunning property on Glamor Lake - approximately 20 minutes to the town of Halilburton, 2.5 hrs from Toronto. Set on 2 acres of tall trees with stunning easterly views, this log cottage has character, charm and all of the modern amenities one could wish for while on vacation. The wrap around deck and panoramic windows allow you to really enjoy the beauty of this setting and Glamor Lake. Available in all four seasons with lots to do in each one - fishing in the spring for lake trout and rainbow up the river nearby, fall colours and art tours, winter fun snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and tobogganing - all off of the property. And of course wonderful summer fun at the lake with great swimming, boating, hiking, or just enjoying the view. The Haliburton Forest & Wildlife Centre, with a wide selection of outdoor activies, is approximately 40 min away.
Note: This cottage may be rented as a 10 person unit using the downstairs bedrooms. Rate for 10 person rental is $4,740/week . The Mandatory End of Stay Cleaning increases to $250.00, and the Linen Service increases to $100.00. When rented as a 10 person cottage there is a maximum of 8 adults permitted.

There are two bedrooms on the main level - both with queen size beds. Also a four piece bathroom (tub,shower, toilet, sink) (Note - log construction means that walls are not finished to the ceiling while building settles). Upper floor has master bedroom with queen bed, walk out deck, and four piece bathroom (tub, shower, toilet, sink). Both bathrooms have heated floors. In the finished basement level are two additional bedrooms - one with a queen bed facing the water and a second with two single beds.(Available only when booked as a 10 person unit). There is a two piece bathroom (toilet/sink) on this level in the combination laundry room and bathroom.

Open concept living/dining/kitchen area with second seating area upstairs in loft overlooking living area. The loft seating area has satellite TV, DVD, Ipod/ CD. High speed internet access (limited download - no streaming of movies) . Stone fireplace (woodburning) in main floor living area. Wood floors, vaulted and beamed ceilings throughout. Laundry. 400 sq ft screened porch. A pool table in the finished walk out basement with gas fireplace finishes this cottage to perfection. Complete the Cottage Request Form
Complete the "Cottage Request Form". If you have any questions, we can be reached by email [mail(at)cottagerental(dot)com] or by telepone at 905.862.0252 or at 1.877.862.0254 (Toll-Free). One of our staff will be happy to answer any questions that you have, verify cottage availability, rate, etc. At this time we will create/update a file for you with the information needed to respond to your booking request.
Return the Booking Application Form
Once we have put the cottage on "Hold", we will email you our Booking Application Form for completion and return to our office by fax or email within 2 days. A payment of 30% of the cost of the cottage plus our $90.00 + HST agency service fee (plus the cost of Trip Cancellation Insurance, if purchased) will be charged to the credit card provided with the Booking Form. A post-dated cheque for the balance payment of 70%, (plus any optional charges such as Accidental Damage Waiver, Cleaning Service, Linens Service) dated 6 weeks prior to occupancy, is forwarded to our office by mail within 5 business days. The Travel Package will be forwarded to you within 15 days of our having processed your booking.
Receive Booking Confirmation and Rental Package
After receipt and processing by our office, a Booking Confirmation and Travel Package are mailed to the Booking Applicant. Please note that, no booking is considered 'confirmed' until a written Booking Confirmation has been produced by our office. In addition to the Booking Confirmation, the Travel Package will include a copy of the Cottage/General page from our website listing the cottage inventory, bedsizes, etc., a map to the cottage and a set of Cottage Instructions/Rules.
Receive Cottage Access Information
Approximately one week prior to the start date of your holiday, we will contact you with instructions on accessing the cottage. Generally, this will be via a Lock Box at the cottage; however, there may be other arrangements necessary depending on the cottage..
