General DescriptionLocated on picturesque Steenburg Lake, this spacious cottage is excellent for an extended family. Since the current series of photos were taken, there have been two major additions to this cottage. In addition to the spacious living areas and bedrooms shown in the photos, there has been a large, screened porch area added to the left side (as you look at the cottage from the lake) which has the hot tub and a eating area (hot tub usually available May - Oct, winter bookings please inquire). On the right side, there has been an addition with 2 more bedrooms. The basement/lower level of the cottage has also had 2 bedrooms finished, bringing the total number of bedrooms to 7. Great for a large family. Very comfortable and well-equipped. End of stay cleaning included in rate.

Bedrooms & BathroomsThere are 7 bedrooms in this cottage. The master bedroom in the loft, overlooking the living room from above has a queen size bed and ensuite 4 piece bathroom. There are 4 bedrooms on the main floor, 3 of which have queen size beds and one that has as double futon in a room that also serves as a 2nd TV room. There is a four piece bathroom on this level. On the lower level there are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with a king bed (which can be separated into 2 super singles) and a set of single bunks. The lower level also has an extra 2 piece bathroom.

AmenitiesThis is a very comfortable and well equipped cottage. Fully equipped kitchen, water cooler, satellite TV (Starchoice and Expressvu), DVD, VCR, laundry facilities, fireplace, plenty of outdoor furniture, hammock, gas BBQ, campfire pit, deck(s), dock, swimming raft and lots of non-motorized watercraft including 2 canoes, 2 kayaks, rowboat, paddleboat, and sailboat.

Waterfront & SwimmingThis cottage has approximately 150' of lakefront, with easy flat lawn access from the cottage to the extensive deck and dock system at the lake. There a small ladder enabling access into about 1 1/2 feet of water at the shore. At the end of the dock, the water depth is about 6' deep. The bottom is firm and sandy. There is a swimming raft anchored in deep water off the end of the dock. Steenburg Lake Marina has a boat launch facility but does not have any watercraft for rent.

Guest Comments"Where does one begin? The total comfort and relaxed atmosphere inside, with a fully equipped cottage or outside where you could totally relax or be as energetic as you chose. There were so many options to keep people busy -- kayaking, canoeing, swimming, or relaxing in the hot tub, or just sitting down by the dock early in the morning and soaking in the peaceful, beautiful lake.
The cottage was absolutely beautiful, yet very relaxing. The descriptions and images shown don't even come close to capturing what a fantastic place this is, both indoors and outdoors. We forgot that there was a television and the kids fell into bed each night exhausted but very happy.
We had a great family vacation. There were three generations ranging from 6 to 60 and everyone had a blast. So many choices and beautiful moments in a totally peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. It has given our family memories that we will treasure and look back on often.
We would definitely rent again within the next 2 years."
