"Fantastic cottage, so appreciated the cleaniness of property upon arrival and all the amenities that were supplied. Looking forward to next year!"

K. James 2016

"Everything we needed was available and the cottage itself and surroundings met and exceeded our expectations. The fantastic view of the lake with the large window view. Just spectacular. Never had a view like this one from a cottage. The weather was perfect - didn't even run the A/C. The clarity of the water was unexpected. The diving raft was a big plus to be able to swim out to. The fire pit got lots of use and plentiful firewood was a big plus." 2015

"This is the 2nd time we've stayed at this cottage and we loved it even more than the 1st visit, 3 summers ago - which is saying a lot! They'd made a few improvements since last time (new couches; better mattresses) which we appreciated very much, although we had no complaints the first time. Having air conditioning is a definite bonus during heat waves, although we lucked out on the weather this year and hardly used it. Everything was absolutely perfect and the lakefront is spectacularly beautiful. The place feels like our very own family cottage, only even better and without all the work! I hated having to leave to come home and would go back in a heartbeat. We heartily recommend this location - and Cottage Country Travels Services - to anyone. (In fact, we ARE recommending you to everyone who asks about our holiday!) We have every intention of returning next year, and the year after, and the year after...

The property is second to none - stunning lakefront; perfect swimming. We love having the swimming platform, and the canoe. Also there's a fire pit with chairs around it, which looks great for a campfire, although we didn't use it this time. Inside, the cottage was well equipped with everything we needed, including coffee and tea and even spices for cooking. The new (since our last visit in 2010) couches and mattresses were more comfortable than the previous ones - a well-thought-out upgrade we really appreciated. The deck/ lawn furniture are high quality and very comfortable. I spent many happy hours sitting up at the table on the deck, or stretched out in one of the chaise lounges on the lawn by the water, reading and just enjoying the view. Due to an unforeseen leg injury a few wks before, I was on crutches the whole week. Although there are stairs, so the place isn't completely accessible for those with limited mobility, I was pleasantly surprised at how easily I could get around and even swim. Our holiday was perfect. If I could get the time off work to go back tomorrow, I would! We felt very welcome there, and we SO much appreciate the owners deciding to share their much-loved family cottage, to make it possible for people like us to enjoy this beautiful, magical place too.

It's a great cottage for families with school-age kids and/or teens/ college-age, but might not be the best for preschoolers and toddlers. Water access is via a few stone steps, with a pebbly bottom, and gets deep fairly quickly. We were there on our own, with one of our young adult kids only able to be there for part of the week. Lots of room to share with friends or family, but we enjoyed the peace and quiet on our own, too. And did I mention enough times that we all absolutely LOVE this place and had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back next year?!?"

"The cottage was scrupulously clean upon our arrival. There were no allergic smells like mould, mildew, oil based paints or stains, perfumes, rodents, etc. In fact, it was odorless, a pleasant change from prior rentals. Also, the cottage furnishings were versatile in their arrangement, and the kitchen was efficiently stocked with kitchen gear."

C. McEnery

"The description and pictures provided were an accurate representation of the cottage. There were no unwelcome surprises at all. This cottage has a beautiful lake view, which was definitely the highlight. We spent a lot of time just sitting by the water relaxing. This was our first cottage rental, and we noticed a number of other interesting locations, both on your website, and in our travels. We may be looking at renting a larger cottage next year to rent with close friends. Please pass on our thanks to the owners for the use of their cottage. They were very accommodating and provided prompt assistance with a couple of plumbing issues. Their hospitality was very much appreciated."
