'Woking Wonderland' - Spacious, modern, bright - this five bedroom, two level cottage offers a great family vacation. Set on a large lot with lots of open grassy areas, southwesterly exposure for lots of sun and a lovely waterfront for children. Only minutes from Buckhorn, this cottage is located a short distance off of the main road on Sandy Lake which is known for it's turquoise blue waters. 2 new upper decks (2014). Very well equipped with all the extras, including a newly renovated lower level with walk out to the grounds.

Five bedrooms - three bedrooms on the main level, 2 with king beds, and the third, the 'children's suite' with a queen bed and a set of single bunks. Stored in the closet of the 'children's suite' is a toddler bed, playpen and a bin of toys, which are all available for renters' use. On this level is a four piece bathroom (tub/shower, toilet and sink). On the lower level there are two additional bedrooms - one with a king and a single bed and the second bedroom with a king bed with ensuite (shower, toilet & double sink, heated floors). There is a four piece bathroom (tub/shower, toilet & sink) on this level as well. NOTE: End of stay cleaning available at additional cost - contact local person noted in Cottage Instructions.

New upper decks (2014), dock, patio furniture, two propane bbqs, boat with oars, paddle boat. Lots (200) children's and adult movies availalble. Approx. 156' of frontage - grassy level approach to small sandy play area at shore, with very shallow entry over stepping stones into the clear water, sandy/gravel bottom (soft as you go out further) with very gradual slope for some distance into the lake. Dock - 37'. Some wild rice growth off to the right. Public sand beach/park within walking distance from cottage.

The photos and write up can't fully explain how beautiful Sandy Lake is compared to the rest of the Kawarthas or Muskokas. The water is extremely clear and blue like a beach in the Bahamas."

"The lake was perfect for our young families - shallow, warm, sandy. The size!! Huge and perfect for our 3 families. Very nice, modern and updated. The proximity to amenities. It was nice to have air conditioning. The amount of things the owners let renters use - ex - children's playpen, booster seat, children's outdoor chairs etc. We can definitely pack lighter next year! The only downfall to our trip was the broken water pump half way through the week. However, we called the owners, and they promptly took care of it and had someone fixing it within a few hours which we needed since we had 3 small children.

Yes we are definitely going to book this cottage next year - providing all our parties can get time off together again."

"The cottage and the lake filled the bill for everyone in my family. We have been renting cottages in the L. Simcoe and Couchiching area for 6 years and this cottage far surpasses the others. We represent 3 generations, grandparents, our 2 children and spouses and our 4 grand girls. The fishing was incredible, son-in law and son are avid sport fishermen, caught some beautiful bass. Both 6 and 9 year old daughters were out every am at 6:30 fishing and all caught more than they could have dreamed. They throw them back to be caught again next year. The 2 younger girls played for hours in the sand and water. We all enjoyed the water and particularly the shallow entry with young children. The cottage was a home and filled the needs of everyone. The best beds yet and my dream of every room facing the lake. Someone planned it well. The proximity to a grocery store, liquor store and 2 very picturesque small towns, Lakefield and Bobcaygeon was also a bonus.

Complete the Cottage Request Form

Complete the "Cottage Request Form". If you have any questions, we can be reached by email [mail(at)cottagerental(dot)com] or by telepone at 905.862.0252 or at 1.877.862.0254 (Toll-Free). One of our staff will be happy to answer any questions that you have, verify cottage availability, rate, etc. At this time we will create/update a file for you with the information needed to respond to your booking request.

Return the Booking Application Form

Once we have put the cottage on "Hold", we will email you our Booking Application Form for completion and return to our office by fax or email within 2 days. A payment of 30% of the cost of the cottage plus our $90.00 + HST agency service fee (plus the cost of Trip Cancellation Insurance, if purchased) will be charged to the credit card provided with the Booking Form. A post-dated cheque for the balance payment of 70%, (plus any optional charges such as Accidental Damage Waiver, Cleaning Service, Linens Service) dated 6 weeks prior to occupancy, is forwarded to our office by mail within 5 business days. The Travel Package will be forwarded to you within 15 days of our having processed your booking.

Receive Booking Confirmation and Rental Package

After receipt and processing by our office, a Booking Confirmation and Travel Package are mailed to the Booking Applicant. Please note that, no booking is considered 'confirmed' until a written Booking Confirmation has been produced by our office. In addition to the Booking Confirmation, the Travel Package will include a copy of the Cottage/General page from our website listing the cottage inventory, bedsizes, etc., a map to the cottage and a set of Cottage Instructions/Rules.

Receive Cottage Access Information

Approximately one week prior to the start date of your holiday, we will contact you with instructions on accessing the cottage. Generally, this will be via a Lock Box at the cottage; however, there may be other arrangements necessary depending on the cottage..
