"We liked the large lawn, a great place for the kids to play. The SW exposure meant lots of sunshine for most of the day. The owners were wonderful! We were able to explore both Little Glamour and Big Glamour lakes with our kayaks - a lovely area"

"We have been renting here for 5 years, and even in these strange times, we had a fantastic holiday. Our kids feel like it is our own cottage that only visit for one week every year! The owners are amazing and really go above and beyond to ensure their renters have an enjoyable experience. The COVID santization was very thorough and put our minds at ease. We would be happy to return next year!"

"We had a great week at the cottage. Everything was as we expected - cozy and comfortable. The owners did everythng possible to make our time special, despite the challenges of COVID-19. This was a wonderful space to spend time with our family, especially our 4 year old granddaughter who loves to run and swim"

"We loved the grassy waterfront area. There were shaded and sunny areas. Loved the porch off the kitchen, and liked all the water toys like the kayak and paddle boat"

"The view from the front window and the screened in porch! The comfort of the porch during early summer bug season was a big plus. Could enjoy being/feeling that we were outdoors yet safe from being stung. Watercraft were easily accessible...everything was perfect! The kids particularly enjoyed the waterslide and viewing some wildlife, such as otters, groundhogs, mergansers, snapping turtle, lots of fish, loons and heron, and of course, Canada Geese. Always a treat to return to Glamour Lake. My first trip there was in 1973 when we knew it as Big Bear Lake. It always feels like I have come home, even if just for a little while."

"Child-friendly (few stairs in the cottage, gently sloping yard, large front lawn, small beach area for easy entry into the lake), dishwasher, screened-in porch, cleaning service available. We have been renting at this cottage for several years and love it! The owners are wonderful and we enjoy getting to see them every year. The cottage visit is the highlight of our summer".

"Cottage was exactly as shown on the website. Extremely well looked after and clean. The cottage has a lot of great features: waterfront is perfect with a flat grass area for sitting or playing. Bedrooms being tucked at the back of the cottage away from the main room and kitchen is a great feature. Late sleepers can be left to rest without having to tip toe around. Really great family cottage".

"We have rented this cottage for three consecutive summers, and the whole family loves it. The owners are very friendly and go the extra mile to make sure their cottage guests enjoy their stay."

"SW Exposure, flat area by lake excellent for the kids, good fishing, boat, canoe, paddle boat, dock and bbq were all in excellent condition. Cottage itself was very neat and tidy - not cluttered."

"The cottage was very clean and a perfect size, the sunroom was very handy, the grass area was great for the kids to play and the water front was beautiful. We would rent it again and recommend it to others."

Great screened-in porch, nice view of lake. The cottage very clean and well equipped. The owners were very friendly and helpful."

"This is a real cottage, not a suburban mansion next to the lake. Screened porch, slide on the dock and leisure boats are a huge plus. We've been there once before. The owners (and neighbours) are great and go out of their way to please you. Any time back to Canada, I'll return. Couldn't be happier with the cottage and the owners welcoming."

"The cottage was as advertised-small but comfortable, right on Glamor Lake, with a dock, fire pit, and three boats. We loved Glamor lake-big enough for long swims and short excursions in the pedal boat, canoe, and rowboat. The lake is generally very quiet as there are no major roads bordering it. The water was very clean and calm. I only wish motor boats were not allowed as I like to swim long distances. The lake was generally quiet during the week but much busier with water skiers over the weekends, especially in the late afternoon hours. I enjoyed taking long swims in the morning around the islands when there were no boaters out. Our family took evening canoe rides to watch the sunset and enjoyed fires in the fire pit with Brent and Susan as we watched the stars come out. We enjoyed the sculpture forest in Haliburton, the farmer\'s market in Carnavaron, and our day trip hiking in Algonquin Provincial Park (where we also enjoyed the art center and logging museum). We felt that the price was very reasonable for such a relaxing vacation and hope to return."

"We have a 3 year old son so it was important for us to find a cottage where he could play safely. This cottage had the perfect shallow sandy beach area and a huge yard for him to run around in. We also loved the screened in porch on the rainy days and later in the night when the bugs got bad! This was our first year renting a cottage and it was a wonderful experience. The staff at Cottage Country were very friendly and helpful and took the stress out of our vacation planning. Thank you so much!"

"We have recently returned from our week at Cottage# 207 on Glamour Lake in Haliburton and wanted to pass along our comments. The cottage was exactly as we envisioned it from your website description and pictures! The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The screened in porch was a wonderful asset. The large front lawn and shallow entry into the water were perfect for our young children. 3 boats, a nice dock, a waterslide, a campfire pit, a BBQ, and beach toys for the kids …….. There was nothing lacking for a great vacation. In summary, we had a great time and would love to return next year."
S. & B. Strickland
"Screened porch was an asset. Beautiful lake front. The cottage very clean. I would recommend this cottage to everybody with small kids, flat grounds around the cottage and shallow entry to water. Lots of kids movies, games for rainy days, a lot of water toys."
M. Kaminska
”The screened in porch, entertainment unit (VCR for the kids), the owners having a variety of videos on hand, the microwave, the dishwasher was an added bonus and the fact that the bedrooms were off to one side of the cottage not right off of the main family room/kitchen area. The owners Susan and Brent were absolutely fabulous and very helpful during our stay.”
M. Ugolini
”We were very pleased with the cottage! It was an accurate description and the pictures were a great way to preview it. We would never rent a cottage without a screened in porch now that we've stayed at #207. We also really appreciated the gas BBQ and having a boat available (we rented a motor for a few days and also used the canoe). We will be camping next year for our vacation instead of renting a cottage but we would definitely rent cottage #207 in the future!”
S. Phillipson
"The large flat grassy area on the lake shore was very appealing characteristic of the cottage for our young children to play. Also the small sandy boat launching area was good for young children."
